State your research problem and question explicitly. Explain what's new and how your work adds to existing knowledge. Use direct language: "This article argues that..." Reviewers judge argument strength and clarity over dataset size.
International literature
Connect to global debates through theories, concepts, and findings. Show what's missing in current literature and why your case matters beyond one example. Local studies become publishable when addressing wider theoretical questions
Standard structure
Follow established format: Introduction, Literature Review, Methods, Results, Discussion. Study recent articles in your target journal to match their typical structure and style before writing.
Choose strategically
Check journal's Aims & Scope and recent issues. Verify peer review status and indexing in Scopus or Web of Science. Match your research to the journal's conversations— audience fit matters more than prestige for first publications
