Learn how to quickly describe other people.

Day 1

Practice vocabulary


  • Identities/Professions: a student, a tourist, a manager, a teacher, a musician, a writer.


  • States/Adjectives: smart, busy, hungry, beautiful, lucky, happy.


  • Locations: here, from Uzbekistan, in the hotel, in the restaurant, at work, at home.

Day 2

Review grammar

Study the "He is, she is, or it is" formula. English requires the verb "to be" (is) all the time: He is from Uzbekistan. 

Identities or Professions

Anvar is an English language learner.  He is a boy. 
Sardor is a teacher.  Malik is a doctor. 
He is a chef.  He is a writer.  He is an artist.

Nigora is a learner. She is a teacher, a writer, and an artist.
Hilola is a learner. She is a doctor, a writer, and an artist.
Nozima is a girl. She is a student.

States/Adjectives
Anvar is smart, busy, hungry, beautiful, lucky, and happy.

Nigora is smart, busy, hungry, beautiful, lucky, and happy.

Locations
He is from Uzbekistan. 

She is from Uzbekistan, too. 

He is in the hotel.

She is in the restaurant.

He is at work.

She is at home.

Day 3 

Practice speaking

  1. Cover the English side and try to produce the sentences from memory based only on the name and the profession. Practice saying the whole list for one name in a single breath: "Anvar is a learner. He is a boy. He is a teacher..." until it flows naturally.
  2. Say these aloud, varying your voice to train facial muscles.
  3. Introduce your friends on Padlet using audio or video function. Make sure to produce at least 25 sentences using all learned words and formulas. Make sure to introduce one girl and one boy. 

Day 4 

Practice reading and translations

Read a book and translate into your language. Translate at least 25 sentences.

We will provide a book list to you.

Day 5 

Practice writing

Write about your firends/classmates using the "He is and she is" formula. Create a real text and use at least 20 sentences.

Day 6 

Enjoy happiness: Play games, listen and speak

Play Baamboozle, Kahoot, Jeopardy, or Mentimeter game.

In the class be active, introduce yourself and answer questions.

Play "Who is he or she? " game using the "Study" mode.
